Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 5:00pm at the Town Hall located at 8707 Main Street.

Due to the Public Health Order on Gatherings and Events dated March 31, 2021, in person attendance at the Public Hearing is not permitted. The Town of Osoyoos is committed to providing the opportunity for every person who believes that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw the right to be heard respecting matters contained in the proposed bylaw.

All persons who wish to be heard and/or present written submissions on the bylaw can do so in the following manner:

  • Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to info@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). All submissions will be provided to Council and made public and form a part of the public record for these matters. The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Tuesday, May 18, 2021; OR

TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY ON TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2021 AT 5:00 PM, please click on the link below to join the meeting. 

There is no preregistration required to attend the meeting, as once you click on the button below it will allow you to join the meeting. You will be provided with an opportunity to speak, once the Mayor calls for public input. To do so, you will virtually raise your hand to speak and you will be unmuted. You have 5 minutes to make your presentation to Council. If you have additional information and you are unable to provide it within 5 minutes, you shall be given an opportunity to address Council after all other interested members of the public have been heard for the first time.

Recreational Vehicle (RV) New Definition (See Below)
 

 RECREATIONAL VEHICLE (RV)       
  • means a vehicle, trailer, coach, structure or conveyance permanently fitted with wheels, designed to travel or be transported on a highway and equipped to be used for recreational living and sleeping purposes without requiring continuous connection to sewage, water and electric hook ups and specifically excludes Park Models (in accordance with the CSA Z-241 standards) and Tiny Homes.

Information on the proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw may be reviewed at www.osoyoos.ca and may be discussed by phone by calling 250.495.6191 or by email plan@osoyoos.ca  from May 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 17, 18,  2021 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
