Osoyoos & District Sanitary Landfill

**Osoyoos Landfill Will Have Reduced Hours of Operations Tuesday May 31, 2022. It will be open at 11:30 AM till 4:00 PM**
**Used Oil Container is at full capacity and is scheduled for pick up June 2, 2022**
PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN AT THE FACILITY.
All garbage must be in bags and securely tied. Loose loads of garbage will be refused. This measure has been put in place to protect staff and residents from unsanitary debris at the Landfill.
AT THIS TIME ONLY DEBIT WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT.
No PERSON shall act in a manner that is threatening, discourteous, disruptive, or willfully negligent while on the SITE.

Directions to Landfill at 17250 - 146 Avenue from Osoyoos
North on 97 HWY (towards Oliver), left on 146 Avenue, continue driving west past the Desert Centre.
IMPORTANT INFO
Follow all Landfill policies and procedures:
- ALL Loads coming into the Landfill MUST SCALE IN AND SCALE OUT.
- Materials must be SEPARATED, TARPED &/OR SECURED.
- All Recycling Material must clean, dry and separated by type of item. Anyone putting recyclables into the garbage, contaminating any recyclable area is subject to a FINE ($$) as per the Waste Management and Regulation Bylaw No. 1370.
- The Landfill does NOT accept: Antifreeze, TV's, Paint, Cooking Oil, Computer Components, Fax Machines or Counter Top Appliances.
- Ensure CHILDREN AND PETS stay inside vehicle at ALL times for health and safety reasons.
- Only go to areas you have been directed and be AWARE there is heavy equipment working in the Landfill.
- Enforced speed limit within the Landfill is 20 km!
