Sealed tenders clearly marked "Gyro Park South - Retaining Wall Replacement" will be received at the Town of Osoyoos Office, 8707 Main Street, Box 3010, Osoyoos BC V0H 1V0, Attention: Mr. Barry Romanko, CAO, up to 2:00PM local time, Tuesday April 26, 2011.  Tenders will be opened in public in the Town Office at 2:00PM on the closing date.

The project comprises the following works and approximate quantities:

  • removal of 153m of existing concrete retaining wall;
  • 153m long Keystone modular block retaining wall, totalling 182m2;
  • suppy and placement of 310m2 grass sod;
  • supply and placement of 20m2 beach sand.

Tender documents are available on the link below, through BC Bid or in printed paper format from the offices of TRUE Consulting (Kamloops) at a cost of $50.00, which is non-refundable.  A Planholder Registration Form must be completed and faxed or emailed to TRUE Consulting in order to receive any addendums &/or additional information regarding this tender.  It is the sole responsibility of the Proponent to ensure that the Registration Form has been received by TRUE Consulting.

Tenders must be accompanied by the following:

  1. A BID BOND, CASH DEPOSIT, CERTIFIED CHEQUE or IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CLEAN CREDIT in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the tendered price.
  2. If a Bid Bond is provided, a CONSENT OF SURETY relating to subsequent security arrangements for PERFORMANCE and LABOUT AND MATERIALS PAYMENT GUARANTEES.

If the information stipulated above is not enclosed with the tender at the time of opening, the tender will be rejected.  Tenders received after the closing time will be returned upopened.  The Town reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and to waive irregularities and formalities at its discretion.  The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.  Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any tender may be rejected for any of the following reasons:

  • incomplete tender;
  • obscured or irregular erasures or corrections in the Tender Form;
  • prices omitted or unbalanced;
  • evidence of inadequate capacity to perform the contract;
  • evidence of previous failure to perform adequately on similar work.
