Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 6:00pm at the Town Hall located at 8707 Main Street.

The Town will be conducting the Public Hearing in person and virtually. The public is invited to participate by virtually attending the Zoom Video Conference or by telephone. For more information on how to participate in the Public Hearing, please see the link below.

All persons who believe their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw are encouraged to provide written submission to the Corporate Officer by 12:00 pm (Noon) on December 7th, 2021, by delivering or mailing a copy of their submission to the Town Office located at 8707 Main Street, PO Box 3010, Osoyoos, BC, V0H 1V0 or email info@osoyoos.ca. Only emails that are submitted to the info@osoyoos.ca email will be included in the agenda package.

All written submissions will be provided to Council and be made public and form a part of the public record.

If you have additional information and you are unable to provide it within 5 minutes, you shall be given an opportunity to address Council after all other interested members of the public have been heard for the first time.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.140, 2021:  If adopted the rezoning will allow subject property at 8000 Cottonwood Drive to be developed with mixed residential units consisting of 6 single family, 16 townhomes and 36 condominiums for a total of 58 residences.

The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Tuesday, December 7th, 2021

Inspection of Documents: Copies of the bylaw and related documents will be available for review at the Planning and Development Services Office located at 8711 Main Street, on the following weekday days: November 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30th and December 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7th between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 -1:00 pm.

No further submissions can be considered by Council after the conclusion of the Public Hearing.

The Town will be conducting the Public Hearing in person and virtually. The public is invited to participate by virtually attending the Zoom Video Conference or by telephone. For more information on how to participate in the Public Hearing, please see the link below.

All persons who believe their interest is affected by the proposed new OCP Bylaw No.1375, 2021 are encouraged to provide written submission by 12:00pm (Noon) on December 14th, 2021, by delivering or mailing a copy of their submission to the Town office located at 8707 Main Street PO Box 3010, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V0 or email info@osoyoos.ca. Only emails that are submitted to info@osoyoos.ca will be included in the agenda package.

An “Official Community Plan” (OCP) sets out the long-term vision, objectives, land use plans and policies for the future of Osoyoos. The development of an OCP is a requirement under the Local Government Act. The OCP provides policy direction on housing and density, neighbourhood character, economic development, transportation, parks and green space and community facilities.

Purpose: Bylaw No. 1375 proposes to repeal Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1230 and replace it with a new Official Community Plan and its Appendices and Schedule, the “Southeast Meadowlark Area Plan".
 

OCP Public Hearing Documents

The Public Hearing documents include the proposed bylaw and related information that has been or may be considered by the Town of Osoyoos. 

Inspection of the bylaw and related documents are available for review at the Planning and Development Services Department located at 8711 Main Street on the following dates: December 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14, 2021, from 8 am to 4 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12 pm to 1 pm Monday to Friday. This is the first of two notices respecting this matter. Dated this 1st day of December, 2021.
