PUBLIC HEARING Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.125, 2019 on Oct.7

Public Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 4:00 pm in the Town of Osoyoos Council Chambers located at 8707 Main Street. Council will receive input on Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1085.125, 2019, which received First and Second Readings on September 16, 2019.

Bylaw No. 1085.125, 2019The purpose of this Bylaw is to change the definition of CRAFT DISTILLERY to CRAFT BREWERY/ DISTILLERY.  CRAFT BREWERY/ DISTILLERY means an establishment licensed under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act that manufactures alcoholic beverages by brewing or distillation, and may include the tasting and retail sales of alcoholic products on-site. The Bylaw proposes to amend the following zones General Industrial (M1), Special Industrial (M3), Downtown Commercial (C1), Highway Commercial (C3), and Tourist Commercial (C4) zones by adding CRAFT BREWERY/ DISTILLERY as a permitted use. 
 
Bylaw No. 1085.125, 2019 also adds CRAFT BREWERY/ DISTILLERY as a permitted use to the Comprehensive Development (CD6) zone to allow for a craft brewery to be located at the property legally described as Lot 45, District Lot 2450S, SDYD, Plan EPS126 (226 – 15 Park Place) being a strata unit within the Watermark Resort.

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and/or present written submissions on the matter above.

Written submissions can be mailed to the undersigned or emailed to info@osoyoos.ca (The Town will only guarantee that emails received to this address will form part of the Council Agenda). The entire content of all submissions will be made public and form a part of the public record for these matters.

The deadline for written submissions is 12:00 pm (Noon) Friday, October 4, 2019.
A copy of the proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be reviewed at www.osoyoos.ca or at the Department of Planning and Development Services office, located at 8711 Main Street on September 26,27,30 and October 1,2,3,4 from  8:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding lunch hours from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
